Welcome to the community of Memorial Drive Christian Church. I believe you will find this community to be welcoming and full of people seeking to serve and make known God’s love for all people. As a Disciples of Christ community, communion is central to who we are and how we approach the world. We believe that the Table where the bread and cup are offered to us is Christ’s Table, and it is Christ who extends the invitation to all people. We welcome you to the Table and to this community of Disciples just as you are.
I began serving as the Senior Minister of MDCC in 2016. I entered into ordained ministry after practicing law for thirteen years in Fort Worth. I received my Masters of Divinity from Brite Divinity School after previously receiving my Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas at Austin. I am married to Heidi, a school teacher, and we have four children: Noah, Nathaniel, Eliana, and Lily. My door is always open and I welcome your emails, phone calls, and visits. I look forward to getting to know you and serving God together.

I’m excited to be serving as the Associate Minister for Youth at MDCC.  After graduating from Texas Christian University and Brite Divinity School, I was ordained as a Disciples minister.
I have previously served churches in Bedford, TX and Cary, NC.  My husband, Larry Linguist, is an engineer and we have three children: Lillian, Audrey, and Charlie.  I look forward to helping the youth grow in their understanding of faith, service, worship, and fellowship.

Lori Maddox is the new director of the MDCC Children’s Program. The MDCC Children’s Program is an outreach ministry of the church and offers part time toddler and preschool classes in a loving Christian environment.   Lori is a native Houstonian and graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in accounting and finance.  After working many years in the field of accounting, Lori decided to change careers and became a substitute teacher at the MDCC Children’s Program while her daughter was attending the school.  Lori was hired in 2011 to teach music and later became the assistant to the director.  Lori is looking forward to her new leadership role at the preschool and the opportunity to continue to foster the development of young children.

Marilyn has been a church musician for most of her life. She began singing for worship at a very young age, and soon added playing the piano and organ. While studying Music Education at The University of Alabama, she supplemented her income through church musician jobs. After graduation, she continued feeding her love of music and over the years has directed choirs of all ages. Marilyn is passionate about church music, and loves welcoming new members into the choir. The Chancel Choir sings a variety of styles of music and is made up of a wonderfully diverse group of singers of various skill levels. All are welcome.

Deb began her church music journey singing in the Cherub choir of her home church and sang with a church choir through adulthood. At age 12, she auditioned and began ringing in the girls handbell choir at her church. From the first time she watched and listened to a handbell choir, she knew handbells were going to be her passion. She began solo ringing in 1995 and then began directing handbells in 1997. She has served as both Choir Director and Handbell Director in area churches. She is a past-President of the Greater Houston Handbell Association and has performed at Area and National handbell events. She’s even participated in a handbell cruise to the Caribbean.
Deb has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas with a major in Performance Improvement and a minor in Music (piano and voice). She currently works full-time at a downtown law firm as a Software Trainer. She loves going to the movies with her husband, Craig, and spending time with her 3 kids and 4 grandkids. She also enjoys doing off-loom beadwork and spending time with friends.

Teri Villoutreix has been the Church Secretary since 1999. Teri is married to Andre and has three children and 2 grandchildren. Her interests are her family and assisting women who are in distress.
