Rev. Dr. Tom Lyda |

Dr. Lyda was called to MDCC and began his ministry in January, 2008. He is a fourth
generation Disciples of Christ. He served as the Minister of Youth at Westcliff United
Methodist Church in Fort Worth from 1987 to 1999. He was the Associate Minister at
First Christian Church in Wichita Falls during 1990 through 1999. Tom was the Senior
Minister of First Christian Church in Abilene from July, 1999 until he was called to
MDCC.
Tom received a Batchelor's Degree
from Eastern Washington University, a Master of Divinity from Texas Christian
University, Brite Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry from TCU, Brite Divinity.
He was ordained as a Disciples of Christ Minister in December, 1990.
He has been married to Lisa since 1993. They have three sons.

Rev. John Malget |

Rev. Malget began his ministry with MDCC
in August 2004. John brings a unique combination of skills,
experience and ministry to our church. He holds a Bachelor
of Music Education degree from Phillips University, and a
Master of Divinity from Phillips Theological Seminary.
He was ordained in 2004. John spent 15 years teaching music
to junior high and high school students in Cushing, Oklahoma.
During that time, John served as Minister of Music at First
Christian Church, Cushing.
Throughout John's career as a teacher, he was in ministry
to youth from varied backgrounds. He has counseled with young
people, helped his students cope with the death of classmates,
and led a community memorial service for a high school student.
In his former music ministry, John has directed and developed
a comprehensive music program for the Cushing school system.
At the church, he shared his vocal talents, as well as his
conducting skills.
John's ministry at MDCC is focused on music, youth, and
worship. He directs both our chancel choir and hand bell choir.
Additionally, he works with the Senior Minister to lead the overall ministry of the church.
John and his wife Sherri have two children. Sherri is the school
librarian for Shadow Oaks Elementary School. John also serves on
the board of the Greater Houston Handbell Association. |

Janet Christman |
| Director of Ministry to Children |

Janet Christman is a veteran of working with children.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Milligan College with a double
major in Bible and psychology. In addition to her years at MDCC,
Janet has 10 years experience working with another congregation and over 25
years as a teacher in Spring Branch ISD.
Janet is creative, compassionate, and energetic in her ministry
to infants, toddlers, and children. Janet's areas of ministry include our
nursery care, Sunday school and extended session for ages 2-4,
Kindergarten to 2nd, and 3rd to 5th grades. Janet leads our
Sunday evening program for Kindergarten to 5th grade. In addition
to her weekly activities, Janet directs our Vacation Bible School,
coordinates a weekly summer fun program for our children, and
egularly attends summer camp for 3rd to 5th graders.
Janet and her husband Roger have two adult children. |

Delmarie Gilbreath |
| Organist |
| Delmarie Gilbreath is a talented and gifted organist
and pianist. For over twenty-six years, she has played for the church,
accompanied our choirs, worked with our gospel singers, played for special events and occasions, worked with our soloists and blessed
us with her dedicated presence and ministry. Delmarie teaches
private piano lessons to many of the children in the church and local area. |

Candy Kepper |

Candy Kepper has been the director of the MDCC Children's Program
since 1988. Candy has a degree in sociology and a secondary teaching
certificate from Tulane University. She has graduate hours in Early
Childhood Education from the University of New Orleans. She is a
member of several early childhood professional organizations and
has attended many professional development workshops. Candy taught
middle school after college and was both a teacher and director
of the Lakeview Presbyterian School in New Orleans.
Candy and her husband Stewart have two adult daughters.
